Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, born June 4, 1946, in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India, was a legendary Indian playback singer, actor, and music director. He was married to Savithri and had two children, SP Charan and Pallavi. Balasubrahmanyam achieved widespread acclaim for his prolific career, lending his voice to tens of thousands of songs across numerous Indian languages and earning multiple awards, including a National Film Award and six Filmfare Awards South.
